A soldier's story is the personal recollection of Bert Brown as he entered the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp and relates what he saw and remembered from 1945 when he was 21.     He was with the British army but attached to the Canadian army in the final days if the war.     He was involved in trying to round up escaped concentration guards (men and women) who mingled with the civilians and was involved in a firefight at one point. He had been in the first waves on D-Day at Juno beach and had fought through France and into Germany. He ended his part in the War at Nuremberg taking part in sifting the evidence for the trials of the Nazi leaders. He lived in East London after the War.
