In this video I show how to fix the power steering whining noise for just $1 - $3 and in 10 mins. Recently, on one chilly December morning my 2007 Accord started with a growling whining noise even though there was no noise the evening before. The issue is caused by the weak / defective O-ring on the p/s return line that lets the air get in the system. This is a known issue and Honda has issued a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) to replace the O-Ring.

PARTS:
Power Steering return line O-Ring. Part # 91345-RDA-A01
(replaces old part # 91345-PAA-A01)

ITEMS REQUIRED:
*  $ 1 Honda O-Ring
*. $ 0 wrench 10 mm
*  Rag

HOW TO CHANGE THE O-RING:
* Locate the Power Steering return line
* Put a rag under the Power Steering return line connection
* Use 10 mm wrench to loosen screw under the connector
* Pull return line away from the P/S pump. Remove O-Ring
* Lubricate the new O-Ring with P/S fluid
* Slide new O-Ring on the return line nozzle
* Insert return line back into the P/S pump
* Tighten the screw, remove the rag, clean up

DISCLAIMER:
Use all methods at your own risk and be extra careful if you are doing something for the first time. I am not a mechanic by trade but have changed trans fluid on the Honda and Acura vehicles I've owned over the years.
